During my business trip to Prague I tried some typical Czech food. It is not that far away from what I would call typical German. Usually that is food I prefer around the winter time when it´s cold outsite and you need really something warm. However for some of my colleagues this was already feeling like winter as they were coming right now out of much higher temperatures in their home countries.
The below was called “Old Czech KOLKOVNA Platter” and it contained 1/4 duck, Moravian sparrow, smoked meat, beer sausage, white and red cabbage, dumplings, bacon dumplings and potato dumplings. This was eaten in the restaurant Kolkovna in the old town of Prague.

After a great sightseeing tour to Prague castle on the next day we were in the restaurant called Petrinske Terasy. An appertizer was ordered also typical Czech Cuisine. That were prume with bacon. I was always supprised about the size of an “espresso” that had more the size of a cup of coffee. I liked that this was coming with milk and water. At the end of the meal I enjoyed an applepie with vanillia ice cream - have a look at the great decoreation.

In addition to the great food at the Petrinske Terasy we had a wonderful view over the city.

With this I´d like to thank Sarka again for her great organisation!

Wow! Prag ist wirklich einen wunderschöne Stadt. Dort habe ich auf jeden Fall die besten Knödel ever gegessen.
